COVID19 Information. Campsite Re-opening Guidelines

Carry On Camping…Fresh air, family, fires and fun times….

Once again as the most recent lockdown slowly continues to ease – we look forward to welcoming you all to enjoy space, fresh air and adventure again. We are committed to keeping our visitors safe, supported and informed and closely following the latest Government guidelines to enable you to relax and enjoy your break away from it all.

If you are in the category that the Government deems most at risk from the spread of COVID-19 virus we would urge you to not visit us until the restrictions imposed by self-isolation are lifted and you are no longer shielding. Similarly, if you are showing symptoms of Coronavirus, please do not travel and follow NHS advice. If you develop symptoms during your stay, you should check using the NHS111 online symptom checker (https://111.nhs.uk/covid-19/) your travel party must take all precautions to avoid contact with guests and return home.

With lots of space between pitches on site we are well placed to maintain easier social distancing but you will notice some changes on site to ensure we can open safely:

You are encouraged to use your own ablution facilities.

If this is not possible the toilet and shower block is open for strictly one user/household at a time. The external door is lockable to make it a private facility, must be entered at your own risk and disinfected/cleaned once finished.

Users must bring their own toilet roll and hand towel and encouraged to bring soap, hand gel, gloves, and disinfectant.

Hand Sanitiser is to be used upon entering and exiting the toilet and shower facility or using the washing up area.

Disinfectant spray is available at the waste disposal point for users to spray on the tap or any touch points prior to use. Children to understand if sent to fill water containers.

Ablutions block will be cleaned more regularly.

Guests must adhere to social distancing measures and remain at least 2m from others from a different household and adhere to the latest government guidelines.

We encourage that payments are made, where possible, prior to arrival or cash (labelled with name) placed into the postbox on site on the back of the toilet and shower block.

Campers are to use their own facilities in their unit where possible, so we can better adhere to 2 metres in shared facility areas.

Guests are encouraged not to let their children to roam unsupervised around the site so they do not, albeit inadvertently, break social distancing measures.
